Dallas Brass Live in Concert!

By Helix Instrumental Music Association (other events)

2 Dates Through Jan 21, 2017

ABOUT ABOUT

Since its founding in 1983 by Michael Levine, the Dallas Brass has become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles. The group has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with a full complement of drums and percussion, which creates a performing entity of extraordinary range and musical challenges. The Dallas Brass repertoire includes classical masterpieces, Dixieland, swing, Broadway, Hollywood, and patriotic music.

As a special treat, the La Mesa Arts Academy, Lemon Grove and the Helix High School bands will perform onstage alongside the Dallas Brass! Middle Schools will perform at the 2:30 pm show and Helix will perform at the 7:30 pm show.

On the day of the show, both LMAAC and Helix students will participate in a unique educational experience and rehearsal with the Dallas Brass at a VERY low cost. Please support our efforts to fund their visit by purchasing your tickets today!
